Press Release from Yuval & Merav Nathan

The new stop motion animation music video from art rock group Eatliz, directed by the Grammy nominated directors Yuval & Merav Nathan ("Her Morning Elegance").

The brilliant new creation from the Nathans utilizes moving sand sculptures, which help make the characters part of their environment. The majority of the video was painstakingly photographed frame by frame at a beach in the early morning hours over several nights. Each night, the crew had limited time and was up against the elements, but was able to create this mini-masterpiece. “Lose This Child” marks the second collaboration between Eatliz and the Nathans. The first was the video for “Attractive” which was named the “Best Video of the Decade” by Israel's music television channel and had a regular spot in MTV Europe’s playlist

Synopsis:Sometimes a beach isn’t just a beach. And, as night falls, that is exactly the case in this beautifully shot and animated video from Yuval and Merav Nathan. As the sun goes down over the ocean, the sand comes to life and takes on the forms of an entire mini eco-system of aquatic life. Sea turtles are born, eels emerge to pursue their prey and Mother Earth orchestrates it all.

This sensitively told story focuses on one newly hatched sea turtle, during his trek back to the ocean to find his mother. We see not only the beauty of his new world, but also the terrifying reality of his journey, through his innocent eyes.

Most of the clip was shot at night on beach, using the available sand and water and incorporating the natural effects of the waves and the wind. All of the characters are moving sand sculptures. It is as though the beach itself is telling you its tale.
