YTV Orders Amberwood Ent.'s 3D Animated RollBots

Amberwood Ent. announced today (June 5, 2007) that YTV, a division of Corus Ent., has ordered ROLLBOTS, a 3D animated action-comedy series for kids 6-11.

The 26x30 series rolls into full production this month and has been partially funded by YTV and the Canadian Television Fund.

ROLLBOTS is based on an original idea by Michael Milligan about perfectly round robots that roll at extreme speeds on rollercoaster type tracks through Flip City, a community that contains 11 different tribes of rollbots.

"We are very excited to be moving forward with ROLLBOTS," said Jonathan Wiseman, vp of sales & acquisitions at Amberwood. "YTV has been a fantastic partner throughout development of the property and their support will help us to introduce a fresh new brand to the market place."

"This new 3D action comedy is an example of the quality programming viewers expect from YTV," said Bonita Siegel, director, original productions, kids, Corus Ent. "Building strong creative partnerships with our production partners leads to great content which entertains and delights our viewers."

Earlier this year Amberwood Ent. partnered with Xenophile Media to create a groundbreaking interactive web experience for ROLLBOTS.

Founded in 1997, Ottawa-based Amberwood Ent. (www.amberwoodanimation.com) is a producer, financier and distributor of high quality animated and live-action television series, specials and features.
