Wulin Warriors: Legend of the Seven Stars Debuts on Cartoon Network

Epic puppet saga WULIN WARRIORS: LEGEND OF THE SEVEN STARS debuts on Cartoon Network during Toonami on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at 8:00 pm. In this new action series produced by Animation Collective and distributed by Broadway Video, hand puppets meet kung-fu movies in an original, humorous and bizarre take on the traditional action series, inspired by anime and martial arts classics.

Lone Sword, Scar and Phoenix are warriors selected as children to train with the Sensei Oracle in his mountaintop academy, and have devoted their lives the way of the sword to become the pride of Wulin. But as darkness and evil threaten to settle across the universe, their fighting skills are not enough. The three warriors set out on a journey in search of a mightier power, the Seven Stars, lost agents of order, to help them save the world.

We are thrilled to bring this entirely different type of kids action show to television, said Terry Kalagian, vp of acquisitions and co-productions for Cartoon Network. The show is an exciting and fun combination of eastern action and western comedy. Its like CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON with a teen attitude.
