According to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER'S HEAT VISION BLOG, D.J. Caruso (EAGLE EYE, DISTURBIA) has landed a deal to direct I AM NUMBER FOUR.

The adaptation of James Frey and Jobie Hughes' sci-fi book is about a group of nine earthbound alien teens who escaped their planet just before it was destroyed. The book, which is being published this fall, will be the first in a series of six. Al Gough and Miles Millar are penning the screenplay and Michael Bay will produce.
