CBS Films has picked up the U.S. rights to THE WOMAN IN BLACK, reports Deadline.com. The gothic horror film stars Daniel Radcliffe, Ciaran Hinds, Janet McTeer and Shaun Dooley.
The HARRY POTTER star plays a lawyer who encounters a threatening ghost in an out-of-the-way village. James Watkins (EDEN LAKE) is the director. Jane Goldman (X-MEN: FIRST CLASS) penned the script, which was based on Susan Hill's novel.
Cross Creek Pictures, Hammer Films and Alliance Films are the production studios. Simon Oakes, Richard Jackson and Brian Oliver are the producers alongside exec producers Nigel Sinclair, Guy East and Roy Lee.
The book was previously adapted into a stage play and TV miniseries.
