MovieHole reports that Wolfgang Peterson (POSEIDON) is working on a live-action remake of the anime feature PAPRIKA. The new take will use Yasutaka Tsutsui's acclaimed novel as the source material. In the story, therapists use a machine to enter the dreams of their patient, but when the device is stolen only a young female therapist can stop the thieves.
Satoshi Kon’s transformed the novel into an animated film in 2006. Yasutaka Tsutsui's story originally appeared as a four-part series in MARIE CLAIRE. In 1995, Reiji Hagiwara adapted the story as a graphic novel. The Kon version was then adapted into a graphic novel again by Eri Sakai.
