Whiptail Interactive Delivers POSTAL 2

Willing to be daring, or could they just not know what they're undertaking, new game publisher Whiptail Interactive makes its publishing debut delivering POSTAL 2, the highly anticipated action game developed by Running With Scissors. "We wanted to make a bold statement with our first game," said Fred Heslop, president, Whiptail Interactive. "There's no bolder statement we could make than a partnership with Vince Desi at Running With Scissors to publish POSTAL 2.

"We're thrilled that Whiptail is making POSTAL 2 PC CD-ROM its debut title," said Desi, ceo of Running With Scissors, located in Tucson, Arizona. "It's great to find a publisher with real guts. Over the past week, our GoPostal.com Website's been obliterated by incoming hits," according to Desi. "We live by our infamous motto, 'It's always funny until someone gets hurt... and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical.' We made POSTAL 2 for our fans not for politicians, parents or 'penis challenged' critics."

The first POSTAL game released in 1997 by Panasonic under the label Ripcord Games was banned in 10 countries and condemned on the U.S. Senate floor by Senator Joseph Liebermann. Beyond "Intense Violence," POSTAL 2 is rated by the Entertainment Software Rating Board's livid labels of "Mature Humor, Adult Language, Use of Drugs and Blood and Gore." POSTAL 2 has already taken the #1 slot on the "Most Popular PC Games" list on GameSpot.com. Sequel to the famous POSTAL, the new iteration of the envelope-pushing franchise puts players once again in the well-worn shoes of the hair-trigger Postal Dude for a week of his life, with a whole grisly arsenal of weapons. "Joining the Postal Dude on a crusade of carnage is TV star Gary Coleman, who romps through the gamescape flanking graphically exploding heads, rivers of urine, vomit and oceans of blood not to mention the occasional screaming cat being stuffed onto the muzzle of a shotgun," stated a Whiptail release.

POSTAL 2 features fully-explorable open-ended 3D environments, innovative first person shooter action, over 100 NPCs including Gary Coleman, Epic's Unreal Warfare Engine with its capability for natural terrain with 32 layers of texture blending, Karma physics, motion capture by Hollywood's House of Moves and a new particle system. Ignited gasoline effects promise to be splendid. www.gopostal.com

West Chester, Pennsylvania-based Whiptail Interactive offers direct access to the North American and European retail markets for both developers and publishers alike, including marketing, sales, production, fulfillment and distribution. Whiptail Interactive's senior management team brings more than 50 years of combined industry experience to the company, providing its partners with publishing strategies that range from pan European/North American launches to market-specific solutions.
