What's Up With Pixar's Up and Narnia 3?

The Internet was abuzz with Walt Disney's announcement of a new Pixar film for 2009. The film titled UP will hit theaters June 12, 2009, making it the House that Lasseter Built's follow-up to WALL-E, which hits theaters June 27, 2008. The project is the next film for Pete Docter, who will co-direct with writer Bob Peterson. The story follows a 70-year-old man who meets a wilderness ranger and the duo battle beasts and villains. Inspiration for the lead character came from Disney legend Joe Grant.

Additionally, Disney took claim to the opening of summer 2009 with the announcement that THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER will hits theaters on May 1, 2009. Andrew Adamson will not be helming the third installment in the series, which will be directed by Michael Apted. The third film in the NARNIA franchise finds Lucy and Edmund Pevensie returning to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where join Prince Caspian on a voyage across the sea aboard The Dawn Treader, on which they run into dragons, dwarves, merfolk and a group of lost warriors.
