Westwood College Adds 2 New Campus in Atlanta

Fueled by strong growth of the states economy and the need for trained workers in many industries, Westwood College has opened two new campuses in the Atlanta area, adding to its system of campuses across the nation. To celebrate the opening, the community is invited to a grand opening event Jan. 26 at the Midtown Campus.

Among the dignitaries in attendance will be the events keynote speaker, Todd Kramer, director of human resources at Turner Broadcasting System Inc. Other activities include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, food, campus tours and seminars discussing hot career fields like Computer Network Management and Animation.

According to the Georgia Department of Labors 2004 Labor Market Area Profile, the 20-county Atlanta metro area is growing faster than the averages for both the state and the nation as a whole. Service industries, which include business, technology and design careers, have grown by 45% since 1990.

Westwood shows its dedication to our communities by providing industry relevant, career-focused education that translates into capable employees who make positive contributions at their workplace, said Bill Armour, exec director of the Midtown campus. These new campuses affirm our commitment to the Atlanta community, both to our students and the local economy.

Scott Nelson, exec director of the Northlake campus, added, Westwood College values its role as a provider of fast-track education that enables graduates to hit the ground running and immediately contribute to the success of their employer.

The Midtown campus is located at 1100 Spring Street. The Northlake campus is located at 2220 Parklake Drive.

Westwood offers career-focused programs through its Business, Technology and Design Institutes. The Institutes focus on industry-relevant programs. For more information, visit www.Westwood.edu.
