Mary-Louise Parker has begun talks to join the cast of Universal's R.I.P.D., reports Variety. The cast includes Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon and Stephanie Szostak. Parker would play the supervisor of the undead police force. The story follows a newly deceased cop (Reynolds) who is teamed with a 100-year-old cop (Bridges) to hunt down his murderer.
Robert Schwentke (RED) is directing. Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi adapted Peter Lenkov comic into the script. Reynolds, Neil H. Moritz, Mike Richardson and Jonathon Komack Martin are the producers. Dark Horse Ent., Original Film and Dark Trick Films are the studios. Exec producers include David Dobkin, Keith Goldberg and Ori Marmur.
