Corus Entertainment has promoted Joanna Webb to vp, programming, responsible for YTV, Treehouse TV and Discovery Kids Canada. Webb will continue to be responsible for driving ratings on YTV, Treehouse and Discovery Kids through strategic approaches to program development, acquisitions and partnerships. She will also remain acting director of programming on W Network, Corus specialty network for women.
Webb joined YTV in 1996, which is part of Corus childrens channels in Canada. Under her leadership as program director for the past two years, YTV has improved ratings on all demographics, becoming the number one Canadian specialty channel this year.
Other rating achievements include Treehouse, which has risen to number one with kids 2-5 and is now a strong performer against the 2-11 audience. Discovery Kids continues to have the highest reach of kids 2-11 among digital networks.
