Warner Home Video will release SPEED RACER on Blu-Ray and DVD simultaneously on September 16, according to BLU-RAY.com.
The three-disc set will have the main feature and special features on the first disc, the DVD game SPEED RACER CRUCIBLE CHALLENGE on the second and a digital copy of the film on the third disc -- the last two a Blu-Ray exclusive.
Video will be presented in widescreen 1080p VC-1 accompanied by a Dolby TrueHD soundtrack. Extras will include featurettes on how the races and cars were created.
Earlier this year, WB announced they would also release THE MATRIX trilogy on Blu-Ray at the same time as the SPEED RACER home video release, but an announcement has not been made.
