Warner Bros. Asks Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown on DVD

Getting the upcoming holiday off to an early start, Warner Home Video will release the deluxe edition DVD of BE MY VALENTINE, CHARLIE BROWN on Jan. 15, 2008. The animated television special will be available in a newly re-mastered format, along with a bonus featurette and two extra episodes. BE MY VALENTINE, CHARLIE BROWN, DELUXE EDITION will retail for $19.98.

Having made its original television debut in 1975, BE MY VALENTINE, CHARLIE BROWN, which stars the Peanuts clan, focuses on the gang's preparations for the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday. Everyone has high hopes of having their dreams of love and friendship fulfilled. Charlie Brown wants to get a valentine from anyone and patiently waits by his mailbox. Linus is on a mission to find a perfect Valentine's Day gift for his favorite teacher, Miss Othmar. Lucy just wants Schroeder to finally notice her.

The featurette, UNLUCKY IN LOVE: AN UNREQUITED LOVE STORY, examines the love lives of the Peanuts characters and it also looks at how creator Charles Schulz's personal views on love and relationships influenced his work -- from Charlie Brown's infatuation with "the little red-haired girl" to Lucy's longing for the pianist Schroeder.

Bonus episodes include:

* YOU'RE IN LOVE, CHARLIE BROWN -- With the school year coming to a close, Charlie Brown tries to work up the courage to meet his schoolmate crush, the little red-haired girl, and enlists the help of his pals Linus and Peppermint Patty.

* IT'S YOUR FIRST KISS, CHARLIE BROWN -- It's homecoming night and Charlie Brown is asked to escort the homecoming queen, who just so happens to be the elusive, little red-haired girl for whom Charlie has been pining all his life.
