Warner Bros. Animation Exec Lewis Moves up to WB Domestic TV Distribution

Veteran Warner Bros. Ent. business operations exec Andy Lewis has been named evp/general administrative manager at Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution (WBDTD), overseeing all business operations, including finance, administration, planning and analysis for WBDTD, one of the leading distributors of first-run and off-network programming in the domestic television marketplace. Lewis comes to WBDTD after a decade at Warner Bros. Animation (WBA).

"Wherever Andy has worked he has had a tremendously positive impact," said Ken Werner, president, WBDTD, who Lewis reports to. "He is an incredibly talented executive, a creative and resourceful strategist with a broad and deep understanding of the television business," said Werner. "I have had the pleasure of working with him, on and off, for the past 20 years, and am thrilled to have him join the WBDTD team."

With more than 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Lewis most recently was evp/gm, overseeing all operational aspects for the animation studio, including finance, planning, business affairs and facilities. He was promoted to evp in 2004, after serving seven years as WBA' svp/gm.

Before WB, Lewis worked at The Walt Disney Co.'s Buena Vista Television (BVT) for eight years, rising to vp of finance, planning and distribution. He oversaw the financial and operational functions of BVT's domestic distribution division, including syndication (station and advertiser sales), basic and pay television sales, pay-per-view and first-run production.

Prior to joining Disney, Lewis was director, finance, at Columbia Pictures Television. He began his career at Viacom Enterprises, serving as assistant manager, financial planning.

WBDTD is one of the leading distributors of first-run and off-network programming in the domestic television marketplace. It handles the syndication of television series produced by Warner Bros. Television, Telepictures Prods., Warner Bros. Animation, Warner Horizon Television, selected HBO Independent Prods. and the Lorimar Television library; current feature films from Warner Bros. Pictures and Warner Independent Pictures; and the studio's motion picture library.
