As previously reported, Warner Home Video has announced that it will release a 10-disk MATRIX collection. The studio has now confirmed that the set will hit stores Dec. 7, 2004 and will be priced at $79.92. THE ULTIMATE MATRIX COLLECTION will include the trilogy, THE ANIMATRIX and 35 hours of bonus material as well as a Neo bust and 80-page book.
The disks include:* THE MATRIX - containing a new digital transfer of the film with two new commentaries* THE MATRIX REVISITED* THE MATRIX RELOADED - with two new commentaries* THE MATRIX RELOADED REVISITED - containing the extra scenes shot for the ENTER THE MATRIX videogame* THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS - with two new commentaries* THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS REVISITED* THE ANIMATRIX - the animated short films* The Roots of The Matrix - the source and inspiration of the universe* The Burly Man Chronicles - a look at the team who worked to create these movies and games* The Zion Archive - assets involved in the production of The Matrix universe
In addition, WHV will also present a special THE ULTIMATE MATRIX COLLECTION LIMITED EDITION which features the remarkable 10 extras-loaded DVD set, plus a limited-edition Neo mini-bust figurine and an 80-page Collector's Book. This exclusive edition will be priced at $129.92.
