DECODE Entertainment is following the international television sales success of its illustrative pre-school show FRANNYS FEET with a major home entertainment deal. Universal-owned Vision Video Ltd (VVL) has picked up the U.K. rights and plans a full-scale retail release of the series on DVD and video early in 2004.
This is DECODEs second deal with VVL following a home entertainment agreement for its other preschool property THE SAVE-UMS! earlier this year.
FRANNYS FEET (26x11) is a pre-school series that tells the exciting stories of a little girl whose fantastic feet take her on magical adventures when she tries on shoes in her grandfathers repair shop. The series is commissioned by Channel Five in the U.K. and the Family Channel in Canada. The Sharpe Co. is the worldwide licensing agent.
Neil Court, Partner at DECODE said: We are delighted to sign a second home entertainment deal with Universal and Im confident that both FRANNYS FEET and THE SAVE-UMS! will be successful additions to the groups stable of titles. The show is wonderfully animated with fabulous storylines and great merchandising potential and we are looking to sign further partners across all product categories.
