I Castelli Animati has pre-selected the animations for the official Web animation competition, which includes an audience prize. You can be part of the international cyber jury and vote for your favorites. The deadline to vote online is October 6, 2000. The 5th edition of I Castelli Animati will take place in Genzano, Italy, October 4-8, 2000. I Castelli Animati highlights animation in all its forms from commercials to features films. The international competition features the following prizes: grand prize "I Castelli Animati," special jury prize, best debut short film, best European short film, audience prize, the Fabrizio Bellocchio prize and best non-narrative short film. The Italian competition will give a grand prize and special jury prize to the top Italian productions. I Castelli Animati will feature retrospectives on Wendy Tilby, Paul Driessen, Konstantin Bronzit, Koji Morimoto and Jan Pinkava. Composer Julian Nott, scorer for the "Wallace & Gromit" films, will be the guest of honor.
