Catherine Keener (BEING JOHN MALKOVICH) and Emma Stone (ZOMBIELAND) have joined the voice cast of DreamWorks Animation's THE CROODS, reports HEAT VISION. They join Nicolas Cage and Ryan Reynolds. Kenner will voice the patriarch of the Neanderthal family with Stone playing her daughter.

The story follows a cavemen family that gets displaced by an earthquake and meets a nomad who introduces them to tomorrow.

Chris Sanders (HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON) and Kirk DeMicco (SPACE CHIMPS) have penned the script and will direct. The idea for the film came from DeMicco and John Cleese. Kristine Belson and Jane Hartwell are the producers.

Film is set for release on March 30, 2012.
