Downey Jr. To Voice Mr. Peabody
EW reveals that DreamWorks Animation is set to make a 3-D CG feature based on Mr. Peabody and Sherman with Robert Downey Jr. voicing the genius pup. Rob Minkoff (THE LION KING) is directing from a script by Jeffrey Ventimilia and Joshua Sternin (YOGI BEAR).
Featured on the ROCKY & BULLWINKLE SHOW, Mr. Peabody was a master inventor who created The WABAC Machine. Along with his pet boy Sherman, he traveled through time and discovered unknown facts about historical figures. In the feature, Mr. Peabody will be an outcast from his normal dog family, which pushes him to excel at science. Sherman will be his naïve sidekick.
DreamWorks plans to release the film in 2014.
