The National Animation and Design Centre is a training centre and a research and development establishment in 3D animation, visual effects, design and digital arts. Established in 1992 by the Cégep de Jonquière, the NAD Centre became in 2008 the result of an innovative partnership between the Cégep of Jonquière and the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi and now offers an undergraduate Bachelor in 3D animation and digital design. The NAD Centre has trained more than 1 200 CGI professionals who currently work in film and television, post-production and gaming industries for renowned companies around the world such as: Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Behaviour Interactive, Gameloft, Bioware, ILM, Digital Dimension, CAE, Vision Globale, Beenox Activision, etc. The NAD Centre is also an Authorized Training Centre (ATC) for the leading digital content creation software companies like Adobe, Autodesk, Avid, eyeon Software, Pixel Farm, Pixologic and Toon Boom.
