Vivement Lundi! Wins UniFrance Export Prize

Brittany-based animation producer receives its second award at Annecy 2016 as the leading French exporter of short films.

RENNES, FRANCE -- Vivement Lundi! was awarded the 2nd Export award for French short film producer at the 2016 Annecy International Animation Festival. This award which was created in 2014 in order to reward and promote the production of short films in France.

The short films produced in 2014/2015 by Vivement Lundi! were exceptional with five finished short films being recognized with 30 awards from various international festivals such as the Sundance Film Festival, Locarno Film Festival, Cinanima Espinho, BIAF Bucheon and New York Children's Film Festival. The films were; Storm hits jacket by Paul Cabon; Under your fingers by Marie-Christine Courtès ou; Dimitri in Ubuyu by Agnès Lecreux and Fabien Drouet; Specky Four Eyes by Jean-Claude Rozec; and The Little Dragon, the animated tribute to Bruce Lee by Bruno Collet.

According to Vivement Lundi!, while French animated short films represent less than 20% of shorts produced in France, these animated shorts represent 50% of total sales internationally.

Vivement Lundi!’s most recent animated films, Of Shadows and Wings by Elice Meng and Eleonora Marinoni and Joint-Tenants by Delphine Priet-Mahéo, have both been included in official selection at SICAF Seoul and at Hiroshima Animation Festival.

Producers Jean-François Le Corre and Mathieu Courtois are currently involved in the production of the hybrid series Science of botheration for France Télévisions. They have also worked on the TV special The Horn Quartet for Canal+, France 3 Bretagne and VRT and on a new season of the stop-motion animated series Dimitri. Currently they have two new shorts in development, The Head in Stinging Nettles by Paul Cabon and Unforgettable by Bruno Collet. Both shorts are funded by French National Center for Cinema.
