Gore Verbinski is circling the director's job on Disney's THE LONE RANGER, which would re-team the direct with his PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN star Johnny Depp, reports Deadline.com. Depp is set to Tonto. Jerry Bruckheimer is the producer.
