VAN HELSING will screen digitally for free, followed by a Q&A with producer/editor Bob Duscay to launch the 2004 Digital Screening Series at the Hollywood Pacific Theater on May 24 at 7:00 pm.

VAN HELSING represents the first in what will be an expanded and improved summer digital screening series. This is the second year the series is being held.

VAN HELSING was mastered at a full 1920 resolution with an eye toward 2K projection. The Ent. Technology Center's Digital Cinema Lab, which operates the Hollywood Pacific, is one of very few theaters equipped with a Texas Instrument DLP 2K projector. Ducsay will field questions about the film's production and postproduction and about how the digital intermediate process was used to help create its look and solve visual challenges. The Digital Cinema Laboratory has the highest quality digital picture and sound capabilities and enables audiences to experience the stellar quality of digital presentation.

The digital screening is aimed at film and television union and guild members, entertainment company employees and film students, accompanied by one guest. Admission is FREE with proof of professional and/or business affiliation (guild or union card, business card, student ID).
