Universal has snatched up the film rights to Melissa Marr's bestselling fantasy series, which started with the book WICKED LOVELY, reports VARIETY. A fourth installment in the series is set to hit shelves next year.

Vince Vaughn's Wild West Picture Show Prods. will produce the film. Caroline Thompson (EDWARD SCISSORHANDS) will adapt.

The story follows a 17-year-old girl who is endlessly courted by a fairy king who wants to marry her and save the world from his evil mother.
