Universal Sets Despicable Me 2, Oblivion Dates

Universal Pictures has selected release dates for DESPICABLE ME 2 and OBLIVION, reports ComingSoon.net. Illumination Ent.'s follow-up to its animated hit will arrive on July 3, 2013. The original film earned $543.1 million globally.

Joseph Kosinski's TRON: LEGACY follow-up will hit theaters on July 19, 2013. The sci-fi epic stars Tom Cruise as a soldier set the task of leaving his home in the clouds to repair drones on the inhabitable Earth surface where he meets a mysterious woman who changes his perspective on the world.

Not related to "Yawn Legacy" (yeah Dis is moving forward with a sequel script - no greenlight yet - to this awful movie...too bad) at all.

Post apocalyptic scifi thriller based on a Graphic Novel Kosinski co wrote (?) pre "Legacy". Yes occasionally Hollywood does something that isn't a sequel or reboot (though technically this is a "comic book movie" so they're not exactly breaking new ground with "original stories")
