USA TODAY has some details about next year's big sequel TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, including a sizeable U.S. military cooperation and presence during filming.

The film, featuring the return of stars Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel, will feature scenes shot at the Army's New Mexico missile range, onboard the Navy's aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis and real Marines filling the ranks of the strike team battling the invading Decepticons. Filmmakers were also allowed to film jets and fighter planes through the sky from Holloman Air Force Base.

Director Michael Bay even got the first-ever permission from the Egyptian government to shoot a climactic scene on the 5,000-year-old Giza pyramids.
