Twentieth Century Fox has picked up SAFE HOUSE scribe David Guggenheim's spec script NARCO SUB for Tony Scott to direct, reports Deadline.com. The film centers on South American drug traffickers that use semi-submersible ships to smuggle drugs into the U.S.

Scott will also produce via Scott Free alongside Simon Kinberg’s Genre Films. Fox's Steve Asbell, Scott Free's Michael Costigan and Elishia Holmes, and Genre Films' Aditya Sood will shepherd.
