Paramount, Fox and Lightstorm Entertainment are planning to release a 3-D version of TITANIC to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the ship's sinking in April 2012, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This puts a 3-D TITANIC in the same release frame as George Lucas' re-release the STAR WARS saga in 3-D.

Nine firms completed 3-D tests for TITANIC, however no company has been awarded the conversion job yet. The cost is estimated to be between $10 and $15 million.
