Superman Actor Transforms into Dylan Dog
SUPERMAN RETURNS star Brandon Routh will play Dylan Dog in the film adaptation of the comic series titled DEAD OF NIGHT, reports COMIC BOOK RESOURCE. Tiziano Sclavi created the horror series, which was originally published in Italy by Sergio Bonelli Editore and later released in the States by SAF Comics.
SNAKES ON A PLANE helmer David R. Ellis will direct the film, which is being written by Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Dean Donnelly.
The comic follows nightmare detective Dylan Dog as traverses the surreal and often monstrous minds of humans.
Los Angeles-based Arclight Films is producing the $35 million film, which will start production soon in Connecticut.
This is the second DYLAN DOG project to go into production. Platinum Studios, Relativity Management and Shop Animation Studios are creating a CG feature based on the comic.
