Summit Sets Eclipse for June 2010
Summit Ent.'s ECLIPSE, the third film in the TWILIGHT saga, will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
Melissa Rosenberg, who wrote the scripts for both TWILIGHT and NEW MOON, is currently writing the script for ECLIPSE and continues to consult with TWILIGHT book series author Stephenie Meyer.
The action-packed, modern day vampire love story and blockbuster success of the first film in the series entitled TWILIGHT was released in theatres on November 21, 2008 grossing $69.6 million domestically during its first weekend. To date the film has grossed over $188 million domestically and over $362 million worldwide. The second installment of the film franchise, NEW MOON starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, will be released November 20, 2009.
