Universal Pictures has hired Nick Stoller to rewrite the script for the STRETCH ARMSTRONG feature, which will be directed by MONSTERS VS. ALIENS director Rob Letterman, reports VARIETY. Stroller and Letterman worked together on the upcoming GULLIVER'S TRAVELS. Steve Oedekerk had penned the first draft of the script based on the Hasbro toyline.

Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer, Brian Goldner and Hasbro's Bennett Schneir are producing with Kim Roth on as Imagine's exec producer. Peter Cramer and Maradith Frenkel with shepherd for Universal.
