Oxford, U.K.-based 2d3, a developer of Emmy Award-winning professional 3D camera-tracking solutions, has announced that its new SteadyMove plug-in will be bundled with all copies of Adobe Premiere Pro. The advanced version of the shot stabilization software will be released on July 25, 2003 for $99.

"With the addition of 2d3's SteadyMove, Adobe Premiere Pro users will receive an effective, user-friendly solution to deal with one of the most common problems plaguing videographers-shaky camera moves," said Richard Townhill, group product manager for Premiere at Adobe. "Adobe Premiere Pro offers sophisticated desktop editing functionality to digital video professionals, and we anticipate our users will quickly embrace the power of SteadyMove."

SteadyMove studies the image sequence to calculate the relative camera movement from one frame to the next, and then uses this information to remove unwanted movement. 2d3 plans to showcase the advanced version at SIGGRAPH 2003 in San Diego, California, July 27-31 in booth #1927.

2d3 is a software company that creates products for animators and designers in film and television effects, games development, architectural visualization and industrial design. It’s also the creator of boujou (boo-zhoo), an automated camera calibration and tracking system.
