Sony Takes Risk

Sony Pictures has acquired the film rights to Hasbro's classic world domination game Risk, reports VARIETY. Hasbro president/CEO Brian Goldner, Bennett Schneir and Overbrook Entertainment's James Lassiter will produce.

French filmmaker Albert Lamorisse created the game, originally titled Conquete du Monde (The Conquest of the World), in 1957. Park Brothers released the game in the States in 1959 as Risk.
