SIGGRAPH LA Holds Making of The Matrix Revolutions

The Making of The Matrix Revolutions

Hosted by Alias, SIGGRAPH LA will be holding a “The Making of THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS” event. Visitors will meet the group that oversaw pre-production, production and post-production of the visual effects in MATRIX RELOADED and MATRIX REVOLUTIONS. They will detail the history of the project as well as introduce types of techniques used and the facilities they worked with. The speakers include John Gaeta, senior VFX supervisor; John (DJ) DesJardin, VFX supervisor, real world material; Jim Berney, VFX supervisor, Sony Imageworks; George Murphy, VFX supervisor, ESC; Craig Hayes, VFX supervisor, Tippett Studios; Michael Schmitt, VFX supervisor, Giant Killer Robots; Matt Dessaro, CG supervisor, ESC. A social hour will begin at 6:30 pm with the program running from 7:30 - 9:30 pm. The event will take place at the Digital Cinema Laboratory at the Pacific Theater at 6433 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, California 90028. The event is free to L.A. ACM SIGGRAPH members and $15 for non-members. New members who sign up on-site and pay the $35 annual membership fee do not have to pay the $15 fee.
