Universal has tapped Josh Zetumer, the writer of Peter Berg's take on DUNE, to pen the fourth installment in the BOURNE series, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. This will be the second script commissioned for the film. Due to scheduling issues with his directorial debut on THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU, writer George Nolfi had to back away from the project.

Universal is eager to get the film in theaters in 2011, so it hired another writer to work on the project as well. It is unclear what Uni will do with the two scripts once both have been turned in.

A Universal spokesperson told the trades, "Our hope is that Nolfi, a key member of the BOURNE team, will return after he is done with THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU."

Frank Marshall and Jeffrey Weiner will be the producers.
