Screen Gems is set to release Joe Cornish's ATTACK THE BLOCK in the U.S., writes Heat Vision. The teen sci-fi film follows a gang from South London who set out to defend their block from alien invaders while being hunted by the police for robbing a woman.

Cornish is a regular collaborator with Edgar Wright. He acted in HOT FUZZ and has teamed with Wright on the screenplays for THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN: THE SECRET OF THE UNICORN and ANT-MAN.

Wright exec produced BLOCK with Nira Park and James Wilson producing.

StudioCanal, Film4 and the UK Film Council funded the production.
