Paramount has renewed its option on WORLD WAR Z, an adaptation of Max Brooks’ bestselling book, reports VARIETY. Marc Forster is developing through Brad Pitt's Plan B.

The story follows a U.N. Postwar Commission researcher who interviews survivors of a worldwide zombie outbreak.

Matthew Michael Carnahan is currently rewriting Michael Straczynski's script.
