HOLES, the family adventure concerning an ancient family curse and kids forced to dig holes to build character, comes to DVD (Walt Disney Home Entertainment, $29.99) on Sept. 23, 2003. Starring Stanley Yelnats (Disney Channel's EVEN STEVENS), HOLES is based on the Newberry award-winning book by Louis Sachar. Bonus material includes The Boys of D-Tent, about getting through "Desert Boot Camp;" Digging the First Hole, a behind-the-scenes tour from novel to film; six deleted scenes; a gag reel; the music video "Dig It;" and audio commentaries with director Andrew Davis and author/screenwriter Sachar, as well as members of the cast. Effects were by Flash Film Works and Howard Anderson Digital.
