THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE, from Buena Vista Home Ent., was the top winner in the 9th Annual DVD Awards with Leonard Maltin, leading all entries with three awards, including Blockbuster ($200+ million box office), Video Presentation and Authoring.

Best of Show, which is conferred by the jury of technologists and journalists to one of the entries, was awarded to a 73-year-old “epitome of what a classic movie should be on DVD” – KING KONG from Warner Home Video. The special effects landmark also was cited as the top Major Theatrical Catalog entry.

20th Century Fox Home Ent.’s STAR WARS — EPISODE 3: REVENGE OF THE SITH captured Major Video Presentation and Major Audio Presentation, continuing the George Lucas franchise’s three decades of “setting the standard for technical excellence.”

Maltin presided for the 7th consecutive year at the DVD Awards Ceremony, held Aug. 8, as part of Entertainment Media Expo (EMX), at Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City.
