Mark Miller has been promoted from exec in charge of production to vp/sr exec in charge of production at Industrial Light & Magic. The 19-year ILM vet will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production department and its staff, as well as take a leading role in ILM’s strategic marketing and bidding efforts.

“Mark’s proven that he knows how to work with filmmakers,” said Chrissie England, svp of production at ILM. “His ability to understand how ILM can support a director’s vision while delivering effects on budget is terrifically keen.” Miller will report to England.

Miller shared production exec duties with Gail Currey, vp/exec in charge of production. Most recently, he was ILM’s top production exec on THE HULK. He was a visual effects producer on JURASSIC PARK III, SLEEPY HOLLOW, MIGHTY JOE YOUNG and JUMANI. He also was ILM’s exec producer on A.I. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE and HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS.

Miller is overseeing effects production on HIDALGO and HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN.
