Warner Bros. has hired Mike Myers to voice the title character in its live-action/CG PEPE LE PEW, reports Vulture. The French skunk Romeo will be in CG along with his love Penelope Pussycat.

The Looney Tunes character appeared in more than a dozen shorts starting in 1945. In 1949, Chuck Jones-directed FOR SCENT-IMENTAL REASONS won the Oscar for Best Animated Short.

Passing over Maurice LaMarche and Joe Alaskey in favor of Mike Meyers? That stinks!
