Chud.com reports that Marvel Studios is ramping up plans for smaller budgeted superhero films to follow the mega-budgeted THE AVENGERS. Marvel is talking with writers and producers to bring lesser-known characters to the screen in films with pricetags between $20 and $40 million. Marvel is opening up their vault to filmmakers to give their spin on characters such as Dr. Strange, Ka-Zar, Luke Cage, Dazzler and Power Pack.

Micronauts. I want to do the Micronauts. (Remember them?) They are so cool. The machines are awesome. The miniature creatures in a life-size world beg for a feature film. Creative filmmaking could keep the budget down.
