Legendary Ent. has started negotiations with Mattel to pick up the film rights to HOT WHEELS, reports Variety. The project has been in the works at Warner Bros., the home of Legendary. While no director or writers have been hired, the plan is to turn the toy franchise into a film franchise similar to the FAST AND FURIOUS series.
