Deadline.com reports that Andrew Macdonald’s DNA Films, India's Reliance Big Entertainment and IM Global are teaming on a 3-D JUDGE DREDD film. Alex Garland (28 DAYS LATER) penned the script and Pete Travis (VANTAGE POINT) will direct. IM Global is shopping the project at Cannes.

Based on the U.K. comic created by John Wagner and illustrated by Carlos Ezquerra, the film follows Dredd, who serves as judge, jury and executioner, in a futuristic world.
