Press Release from Synthespian Studios, Inc.

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA, June 12 -- Designer/Director Jeff Kleiser will be honored with the "Special Award for a Distinguished Professional Career in Animation/VFX" at the Mundo Digitales Festival in A Caruna, Spain this summer (www.mundodigitales.org). Kleiser will join past recipients Paul Debevec, Chris Landreth, Mike Milne and others.

"I am honored to receive this Special Award from Mundo Digitales, and to participate in the celebration of the artist-technicians who constantly push the boundaries of visual expression in the field of digital media. Since my first computer-generated film in 1974, I have been constantly struck by the unique camaraderie among animation and visual effects professionals, and I am looking forward to expanding our network of friends at Mundo Digitales." said Kleiser, who has frequently lectured in Europe at Imagina, Parigraph, CG Festival, Opera Totale and FMX.

Kleiser will be giving two presentations at Mundo Digitales '09, one on the history of computer graphics and another on large format stereoscopic production.

Known best for feature film visual effects ("Tron," "Flight of the Navigator," "Stargate," "X-Men," among others) and theme park rides ("The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man," "Corkscrew Hill," "Honey I Shrunk the Audience"), Kleiser and his partner Diana Walczak have co-directed most of the projects produced by Kleiser Walczak Construction Company and more recently, Synthespian Studios.

Currently, they are working on a Disney feature called "Surrogates," starring Bruce Willis.
