The FIRST EVER INDEPENDENT TELEVISION FESTIVAL is seeking submissions for its Independent Pilot Competition and is currently accepting entries in its ANIMATION category.

Launching in fall of 2005, the NYTVF will pioneer the movement of "Independent Television." Writers, directors and producers will be given the unprecedented opportunity to screen Pilot Programs directly for network and cable executives in a festival competition. What festivals such as Sundance did for film, the NYTVF will do for television.

The NYTVF is looking to tap into new and creative ideas in the world of animation by providing animators the opportunity to showcase original ideas for television executives searching for the next big hit.

Guidelines: Animation Short (1-8 minutes) and Animation Long-Form (8-24 minutes)

Deadline: August 1, 2005
Fee: $20 for Animation Short or Animation Long-Form / Students are free
