The Hollywood Post Alliance is presenting the 2004 Summer School Program, a tutorial on post-production. The program will run from July 23 - 24, 2004. The workshop will kick off on July 23 with drinks and hors d’oeuvres at 6:00 pm followed by as case study on SPIDER-MAN 2 at 7:00 pm.

At 9:30 am on July 24, the keynote will address post-production in the digital age, covering files and formats for visual effects digital intermediate, RGB 4:4:4, conform, delivery and things you never learned in film school. At 10:00 am, "The New Workflow: Key Trends" will cover origination, digital cinematography, scanning, pro and prosumer cinematography formats, film to digital, digital displays in HD, projection and DVD, network and physical media delivery, and data management. At 11:15 am, "Desktop Tools / New Ways" will cover editorial, VFX, conforming and finishing tools both affordable and portable.

At 12:15 pm, "Roundtable Lunch – Embracing Change in Post-Production" will cover the most recently developments in the world of post-production. At 2:00 pm, "Deliverables and Savables" will cover recording, archiving, mastering, hard drives, back-ups and storage. At 3:00 pm, "Security" will present a tutorial on the latest thoughts around content security in post-production.
