Hinds, Ludwig Added To Witch Mountain Cast
RACE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN will now also star Ciaran Hinds and Alexander Ludwig, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.
The film, which already has Dwayne Johnson and AnnaSophia Robb on board, is a Disney remake of the 1975 adventure flick ESCAPE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN.
Andy Finkman will direct a script by Matt Lopez, with Disney's Andrew Gunn to produce under his Gunn Films banner.
Production should start in late March in Los Angeles.
Hinds is best known for playing Julius Caesar in HBO's ROME, but also starred in last year's Oscar-nominated THERE WILL BE BLOOD.
WITCH MOUNTAIN's plot is about two paranormal siblings (Ludwig and Robb) who run from group of evil men, led by Hinds' character.
Johnson will play a Las Vegas cab driver who helps the children.

As a background, all my children are 7, 9 and 10; and they have no knowledge about the initial Witch Mountain movies.
We went to the movies to be entertained and left the movie theater feeling completely satisfied. This is a family movie, with plenty of action, a story line that was not complicated, and characters that were easy to cheer for.
Some of the "so-called" professional critics should take a 10 year old with them the next time they review a PG rated film. If you have children, take them to see the movie. If you are an adult and are going to see the movie, keep an open mind - it's not a remake of the original films; Disney took a good idea and added a modern spin to it.
