G.I. Joe 2 Gets Release Date, New Name
Deadline.com reports that Paramount has picked a release date for the G.I. JOE sequel. Now titled, G.I. JOE: RETALIATION, will hit theaters on June 29, 2012, which was the date the studio had hoped to have the STAR TREK sequel ready for.
The G.I. JOE cast includes Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Stevenson, Elodie Yung, Joe Mazzello, RZA and D.J. Cotrona. Ray Park and Byung Hun-lee are expected to return as Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, respectively.
Jon M. Chu (JUSTIN BIEBER: NEVER SAY NEVER) is directing from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Lorenzo di Bonaventura is producing.
