The British Television Advertising Awards were announced on Nov. 3, 2003 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel. The event attracted more than 400 entries for its 21 categories.

Framestore CFC received the award for Best Computer Animation for its work on the Johnnie Walker spot, FISH. In competition for the same award was the company's work on DRINK LIKE A FISH for Audi and The Mill’s work on Toohey’s THE QUEST. The Johnnie Walker spot was also nominated in the Video Post-Production category. Head of production Helen MacKenzie and co-supervisors William Bartlett and Murray Butler accepted the award on the team's behalf.

In addition, Asylum took home the prize for Best Live-Action Special Effects for its BT Broadband spot, BURST PIPE. Mark Mason accepted the award.

The BTAA Craft Awards were instituted in 1996, with the aim of further recognizing the British skills and crafts employed in commercials production. For further details, visit www.btaa.co.uk.
